Marketing Case Presentation

One of the final assignments for Marketing this semester involved a case presentation incorporating promotion and advertising concepts. This assignment showcases my ability to compile a basic marketing plan. The impact of non-controllable elements of the marketing environment were also taken into consideration.

The case revolved around the following question: What should BCLC do next to further promote Lotto Super 7? This "problem" stems from the success of "The Super Rich" campaign. With upcoming changes to Lotto 6/49, it's crucial to differentiate Lotto Super 7 from other BCLC games by tone and character. Lotto Super 7 was the game that needed to reignite the pure essence of big lotto games--frivolous, indulgent, and fun.

OB Case Report

Here's an excerpt from my case analysis for Organizational Behaviour, which demonstrates my ability to utilize effective conflict management techniques. In short, I was presented with a situation where disputes within the workplace had escalated into socioemotional (dysfunctional) conflict. Unlike constructive conflict, this dysfunctional conflict negatively affected the company's productivity, as well as product quality. However, by performing a thorough analysis of the situation, and contrasting various negotiation styles, I was able to provide several viable recommendations for conflict resolution.

Communications Presentation

Here's my first presentation for Business Communications 1, which showcases my ability to organize information and express ideas clearly using accepted formats--text based, visual, and oral. I used visual presentation techniques to make information clear and accessible, and applied appropriate business style and tone in my oral message. In addition, this assignment demonstrates my ability to utilize basic information technology to communicate effectively.

My topic of choice--a brief summary of the Portus "disaster" (as termed by various print media)--was rather controversial; however, I found it intriguing. Although I was limited to six minutes, I was able to quickly provide a very brief history of the company, as well as an update of the "disaster".
